Pheobe Halliwell burst in the front door of Halliwell Manor waving papers and yelling something about doing some actual writing. Paige Matthews sat in the parlor preparing a spell as her sister interrupted causing the redhead to jump and spill the witch salt into the holy water at the wrong time. Paige let out a disgruntled sigh as she looked down at her ruined spell. "Okay Pheebs want to tell my why you just ruined my Job Improvement Spell."
Pheobe the advice columnist who had only gotten that job because of a witchy like fluke frowned at her sister. "You shouldn't be doing that kind of magic any ways? Do I have to remind you about the boobs?" She said with a smirk she was nearly bouncing up and down, "Well, you know how I said I wanted to do a little more writing? Well, guess what? Where is Piper? PIPER?"
The eldest Halliwell, Piper waddled out of the kitchen followed quickly by her husband and the sisters whitelighter Leo. "Okay what, Im baking something important in here." She said motioning towards the kitchen. Chris the newest member of the Halliwell family snickered as he looked at Pipers very pregnant belly. "Thats the most important thing you'll ever bake" Piper merely lifted a spatula to Chris, "Hey watch it buster."
"Alright so tell us in detail, how exactly you plan to accomplish this writing thing. And Pheebs this is nothing like that spell. So go on so I can set this whole thing up again and Start Over" Paige stood in her circle and making a quick exit from it before focusing all her annoyed attention on her sisters.
The seer sneered at them all. "I'm going to be writing actual news articles!" She moves over to Piper and pets her belly, "He's right you know." She smiles at Chris then laughs a little.
"Okay Enough" Piper smacked Pheobes hand with the cookie dough covered spoon. "Do I Look like a Petting Zoo?"
Paige sighed again but couldnt help but snicker. "Okay so how are you going to accomplish this? You have no real training in Journalism besides writing love letters to strangers. Whats your first assignment. I want details. You did ruin my spell after all." Paige crossed her arms over her chest which of course made her rethink the spell completely as the memory of not being able to do so came to mind.
"Page, I took Journalism in college, and as for my first assignement. I am going to write about what happened with the golden gate, you remember a few weeks ago? The mutants coming here and wreaking havoc on our city? Thats the first one." She said as she moved flicked cookie doug form her hand. Then she looked at Leo," I still don't see why we couldn't help."
Leo shook his head smirking. "As much as I know you would have liked to help. Showing up would have put you three on the mutant radar. They'd know who you are and possibly what you are. We can't risk that. Besides this is their war. It may involve witches at some point but only then can we get involved." Piper looked at her husband and pointed to her belly with the spoon before threatening to do the same thing she had done to Pheobe. "Oh yeah and Pipers pregnant. We cant put our son In any more trouble than hes already in." Leo smirked at Chris before following his waddling wife back into the kitchen. Chris continued to stand in the dining room watching Pheobe concerned. It was that look he always got when he knew something was going to happen. Something that had to happen, but not necessarily that he wanted to happen. From the kitchen a rather irritated Piper spoke up. "Congratulations Pheobe. Good luck with that. If you need any help, you know where I'll be." The scraping of a cookie sheet could be heard coming from the kitchen.
Paige sighed at her ruined spell before walking over to Pheobe and snatching the paper from her. "So whats your perspective?"
She was about to talk, about to speak, when her body tightened. It felt like the world around her was closeing in. Her eyes closed as the tell tell feeling of a vision came to her. "Oh, God." She whispered grabing hold to the nearest thing which of course was her sister. The vision filled her whole being as flashes of a man in a suit..With some kind of hump on his back came to mind. He was a lovely blonde man (if you didn't mind humps), his face was twisted in pain. For a moment she couldn't see what. No, there was darkness all around the man. Then light flared and brighten. She whimpered as the darklighter came into view. Here was the reason why the man was in pain. She lets out a gasp as she feels the darklighter's knife go into her arm as it goes into the man's. "Leo.."
Chris had already been walking over to Pheobe as the vision came on and placed his hands under her elbows to steady her. "Forget Leo. Just tell us what you see. Whats happening." There was a desperate urgency in his voice as he demanded the details. Leo ran out of the kitchen followed by Piper. "What what is it." Pipers frustration faded as she noticed the very familiar signs of a vision. Paige and Chris guided Pheobe over to the Parlor to sit down as she described her vison. Every watched intently ready to leap into action. Chris' face furrowed deeper than before. This was a big one. This one would change everything.
Pheobe spoke softly, her head spining with pain. "We need to hurry, we have to help him." Her arm ached where the knife had cut her. As if she had been there. She felt a link to this man, she wasn't sure what it was. It wasn't like anything she felt in a vision. Pain normally didn't come with the vision like this. She held her arm looking at it almost thinking there should be blood. This man was important. Maybe to the world, that was why the dark lighter was coming after him. But some how she thought he was important for her as well.
"Well where was it. Did you recognize anything in the vision." Chris asked impatiently, which was usually normal for him.
Pheobe shook her head for a moment as if trying to sort through the vision. "Embarcadero. Just over the BART station entrance. It happens just after sunset. He was heading towards the Ferry Building." Pheobe shook her head and buried her face in her hands as she continued to sort through the vision. "A Darklighter attacked him. He seems important. In a dark blue suit, looks italian. Blond hair, I didnt see his face but hes definitely young, probably early twenties. It was around sunset so we only have litle more than an hour. "
Paige headed for the kitchen without a moments hesitation. "I'll Brew the vanquishing potion." The moment Paige walked into the kitchen she turned around and retreated. "Upstairs." She commented as she orbed to the attic. An hour later the sisters were sitting at a cafe down the street from the Embarcadero BART station. Paige and Pheobe were arguing over the details of what had happened on Alcatraz Island the previous year.
